About Dr. Alison Paquin
What drew me to naturopathic medicine, was the understanding that the body holds the innate ability to heal itself and that in knowing and treating the underlying cause of illness, health can be restored by natural means. My background in naturopathic medicine and five element acupuncture has given me the tools to draw from nature to support others in healing. It is an honor and privilege to be part of this journey with those that I work with.
I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelors in Zoology. In my final year, I was introduced to the field of Naturopathic Medicine and knew immediately that this would be my path ahead. Halfway through my naturopathic studies at Bastyr University in Seattle, I was introduced to Five Element Acupuncture. After graduation from Bastyr, with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, I went on to Wu Hsing Tao School, also in Seattle, where I learned this profound form of medicine from my gifted teachers including my primary teacher, Dirk Hein, Ph. D.
I studied Craniosacral Therapy through the Integrated Bodywork Institute in Seattle, Washington with Nancy Soliven, DO, and Catriona O’Curry, a holistic psychotherapist.
